On the 25th of June, 2022, The Sapphires Development Initiative presented a policy brief at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) in Geneva Switzerland.
The policy brief titled Changing Course, Transforming Education: Spotlighting Voices in Rural Schools in Southwestern Nigeria, was formulated from the findings gotten from our student forums. The student forums was organized in 16 rural primary and secondary schools in commemoration of the 2022 UN Day of Education.
This annual meeting was organized by the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS), Geneva Graduate Institute, and the United Nations Office at Geneva. With our community projects and academic research nexus, TSDI remains committed to contributing our quota in the sustainable development of communities through providing evidence-based solutions to pressing global challenges like illiteracy.
