When I was a child, I was taught to think like a child.
It was worse because I was a girl child.
I played with dolls. I cared for fake babies. I was trained—innocently, subconsciously— for a future that had already been decided for me. I wasn’t supposed to go beyond that. I wasn’t expected to explore, dream, or build. My world was crafted with soft pink limits.
I attended a science school. But computers? They were a luxury. They belonged to the “smart boys,” not girls like me. Technology? That was an abstract concept, a far-off thing that didn’t belong in the realm of femininity. “There are more suitable courses,” they’d say. Suitable. That word haunted so many of us, tailoring our dreams to fit society’s norms rather than breaking those norms to fit our dreams.
But now, the story is changing.
Just this May, I sat in a room full of 40 brilliant young girls (many from rural communities) watching them build, design, and create. They weren’t just using technology. They were transforming it. They were reimagining their futures.
These girls weren’t handed a path, they were paving it.

This blog post greatly highlights the transformative potential of the younger generation.
It’s encouraging to see platforms like the SustainHerbility Tech Academy empowering children most especially girls to explore innovation and challenge boundaries.
As we celebrate Children’s Day, this piece reminds us that we are also witnessing the emergence of future leaders, creators, and change-makers💯💯
A truly insightful reflection on the dawn of a new era💡
